As a Finance Officer -Dhiafatina Hotels one will be responsible for the preparation of financial accounts for the hotels. You will be required to produce monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and undertake external audit requirements. The successful candidate will be required to advise senior management of the impact of new accounting requirements, independently deal & co-ordinate with other departments, and have strong communication skills.
Key accountabilities of the role:
- Identify and implement improvements in monthly reporting process so as to enable more timely and accurate reporting for the business
- Provide resolution to issues relating to the physical verification of Fixed Assets
- Preparation of accounts as per IFRS including liaising with internal and statutory auditors.
- Independently complete reviews of current practices to ensure effective control
- Develops business partner relationship functionality with leaders and assigned area of
responsibility so as to develop a constructive value adding relationship with the internal client.
- Produce a consolidated monthly financial report for Hotels
- Produce periodic financial forecasts, projection as well as annual financial plans
- Ongoing maintenance of Fixed Asset Register for additions and disposals- where relevant.
- Perform self-audit exercise or as directed by QR management, audit/review any related
processes from time to time for process improvements.
requirements
successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. In addition, a professional accounting certificate like CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA or MBA Finance from reputed institute or university is preferred. Hotel industry experience, aviation sector will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years job-related experience along with the following attributes:
- Strong Knowledge of Oracle / ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and manage workflow.
- Excellent knowledge of Ms Office with experience in Business Intelligence reporting tools.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent organisational ability to be able to set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities work interruptions and meet deadlines.
- Have strong analytical skill with ability to review variances, understand business cycles and their impact on the profit and loss account.
